The amulet was crafted when Luang Phoo Gaew was 95 years old. According to believers, it is thought to serve as a substitute for the amulet of Luang Pu Tim from Wat Lahan Rai. Luang Phoo Gaew, of Wat Lahan Rai, was a monk highly esteemed by Luang Pu Tim for his mastery of the four elements. Before becoming ordained, he led a prosperous life as a gangster, possessing magical abilities from an early age. Eventually, he entered monkhood under Luang Pu Tim’s guidance, despite being about two years younger. He held Luang Pu Tim in high regard, akin to a teacher.
Legend has it that during the consecration of the blindfolded coin, Luang Phoo Gaew employed a unique method. He immersed all the coins in a bowl filled with sesame oil until it reached the brim, yet none spilled out except under his consecration. Other esteemed monks, including Luang Pu Toh of Wat Pradoo Chimphli and Luang Pho Kong of Wat Wang Sapparot, also participated in the consecration.
The amulet is reputed for its remarkable qualities of safety, invincibility, and auspiciousness. Many more virtues are attributed to it, making it a compelling choice for those interested in amulets from Wat Lahan Rai or who have faith in the sacred relics of Luang Pu Tim.
