In the Buddhist year 2499 (1956), Chao Khun Po Jaeng was granted the title of “Great Venerable of the Chinese Sect” by the Thai monarch, recognizing his outstanding spiritual practice and leadership capabilities.
In the Buddhist year 2529 (1986), in the month of September, Chao Khun Po Jaeng peacefully entered Nirvana at the age of 85, having spent 60 years in monastic life and adhered to the precepts for 55 years (55th Pan-Sha).
The passing of this master marks a profound loss for the Buddhist community. Nevertheless, his spiritual legacy will endure. As the abbot of the Long Lian Temple in Bangkok, Chao Khun Po Jaeng demonstrated exceptional leadership, providing guidance of compassion and wisdom to practitioners. Though his parinirvana signifies a meaningful conclusion, the teachings and the compassionate light he left behind will continue to illuminate the spiritual journey of his followers.
