His full name is Phra Bhaisajyaguru Vaiduryaprapas, meaning the Buddha who is the master of medicine, curing illnesses. He resides in the eastern realm of Wisuddhivisaya Buddhakasetra. He made a great vow to free all beings in his realm from diseases. Those who regularly worship him will be free from illness, or if sick, will be relieved of their diseases.
